Medicaid is a government offered medical assistance program that provides medical aid to the poor and needy people. A resident of the State of Arkansas is eligible for Medicaid when the individual has low-income, is a pregnant woman or is disabled. When an individual losing Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits due to certain causes becomes eligible for the Arkansas Medicaid extension of benefits program.
The individual has to make an application to the Social Security Administration department.
