Arkansas Medicaid provides coverage to people of low income for medically necessary services. The Department of Human Services (DHS) runs jointly by the funding of state and federal government.

How to enroll in Arkansas Medicaid?

First step- Fill an application form provided by Department of Human Services office with all necessary details completely. You are informed about your eligibility by the county office. You can also print the application form from the following website-

Second step-You will have to select a primary care physician.

Third step- Benefits of the Medicaid will be explained to you by the Department of Human Services. Medicaid does not pay for all Medicare services.

Fourth step-You will be provided with a Medicaid card number. You will have to provide a referral from your primary care physician for some Medicaid services.

Arkansas Medicaid works along with Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance).

You have to pay for small amounts of coinsurance and deductibles in Medicaid.
